At The Heritage, we have created a beautiful and comfortable setting that people with dementia can enjoy. However, as important as that is, it is nowhere near as important as the special people that care for our residents on a daily basis.
Entrusting a loved one to the care and support of others can be a difficult thing to do. We understand how important it is to hire the right people; people with a heart of compassion that are patient and understanding, and are willing to do what it takes to serve each and every resident with dignity and respect.
We believe that everything about our community starts with leadership and vision. Our key managers all share a common philosophy of care and set the example for all staff to follow.
Kip Pammenter, Owner & President –
Kip is the Founder and President of Senior Living Services LLC, a management company focused on the development and operations of senior communities specializing in caring for those dealing with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. Kip’s goal for his communities is to exceed expectations in the areas of customer service and associate satisfaction and to lead and enable his communities to set a new standard in Alzheimer’s and memory care services.
Prior to starting Senior Living Services, Kip worked for Life Care Centers of America, and its subsidiary, American Lifestyles, for over 10 years. He held several positions with Life Care over the years and eventually was asked by the company’s Owner to move into the position of Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for American Lifestyles. Kip worked directly with the CEO and provided leadership and management over all of the independent and assisted living facilities within the company. Under his direction and through detailed attention, the services of health care, dining, activities, housekeeping and laundry were greatly improved.
Kip holds a BS in Business/Accounting from Kansas State University, where he graduated in 1990. He also passed the Certified Public Accounting exam in 1992. Kip lives in Leawood, Kansas, with his wife, Stephanie, and daughter Ava.
David Thompson, Vice-Presidents of Operations –
Prior to joining Senior Living Services, David’s career includes nearly 25 years of senior living and professional healthcare experience. He is a caring and compassionate person who has served as Executive Director at a number of senior living communities including Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care, and worked in a variety of healthcare settings including hospital, residential, and brain injury rehabilitation.
In his role as Vice President-Operations, David is ultimately responsible for ensuring The Heritage Communities provide a safe and enriching environment for their residents to thrive and enjoy life, as well as providing leadership and management to all Heritage Community directors. He is responsible for overseeing all daily operations including director management and development, resident care, business development, financial planning/budget development and State regulatory compliance.
David earned his B.S. degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration and Marketing from Western Michigan University. David lives in Overland Park with his four sons, Alec, Caleb, Luke, and Joel.
