{"id":56,"date":"2016-06-13T19:25:52","date_gmt":"2016-06-13T19:25:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.heritagepointokc.com\/?page_id=56"},"modified":"2016-12-13T15:39:40","modified_gmt":"2016-12-13T21:39:40","slug":"working-with-experts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.heritageofoverlandpark.com\/unique-approach\/working-with-experts\/","title":{"rendered":"Working with Experts"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Working with Experts<\/h1>\n<p>An important part of our <a href=\"https:\/\/heritageofoverlandpark.com\/unique-approach\/\">unique approach<\/a>\u00a0 is our partnerships with key professionals in the field of Alzheimer\u2019s and dementia care.\u00a0 Teaming up with these experts ultimately help us to take a different approach to providing care and service for our residents.\u00a0 It also provides opportunities for our care staff to grow professionally through ongoing education and training.\u00a0 Some of our primary alliances include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Alzheimer\u2019s Association<\/strong> \u2013 Working with the local Alzheimer&#8217;s Association chapter,\u00a0we are teaming up with these professionals to provide ongoing training and education for our care staff about how to provide the best care and support for our residents.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rehabilitation<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 It is common for seniors to experience physical problems that inhibit their quality of life.\u00a0 The need for physical, occupational, or speech therapy is very common which is why we encourage\u00a0on-site therapy services for our residents.\u00a0 In addition, these professionals will offer guidance, training, and structured programs for our care staff that will ultimately benefit our residents.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Medical Director<\/strong> \u2013 We have formed an alliance with a local M.D.\u00a0who is certified with the American Board of Geriatric Medicine.
